Maintenance & Repair
Having your equipment serviced regularly will keep it running at peak efficiency and will also help to prevent any future repairs.
Home Trade Standards will provide service & regular maintenance for all of your equipment including:
- Gas Furnaces
- Central Air Conditioners
- Gas Fireplaces
- Water Heating Systems
- Water Purification Systems
- Heat Pumps
- Air Exchangers
- Air Purifiers
In addition to making your equipment look and run like new, regular service will remove any dust, dirt, and debris that cause allergies, mold and could potentially be a fire hazard.
Your residential heat appliances should be serviced every year usually at the beginning of the fall season whether they are new or old, mid or high efficiency. Furnace filters should be inspected and cleaned & replaced every 2 months. Maintaining your furnace will preserve the efficiency and prevent costly break downs. This is important because when you don’t stick to a regular maintenance schedule, it can lead to a poorly performing appliance, or risk exposing your family to deadly carbon monoxide gas. Failing to have your furnace serviced regularly may result in mid-winter breakdowns and costly repairs and/or your Manufacturer’s Warranty becoming void.
Whether you need to set up a maintenance appointment or require emergency furnace repair, you can count on Home Trade standards.
We’re available 24 hours a day for emergency service. Contact us now for a free, no obligation estimate on maintenance and repairs.
Central Air Conditioner Maintenance
For best efficiency and delivery of cool air to your entire home, it is essential to always have a clean furnace filter. During air conditioning season the filter should be inspected and cleaned/replaced every month. Newer high-efficiency air conditioners are sealed systems with self-lubricating components so no maintenance or service is required for functional systems. Older standard efficiency systems (12 years +) are very inefficient systems that leak o-zone depleting refrigerant into the atmosphere. These systems should be replaced instead of “bandaged” to ensure cost efficient, safe and environmentally sound operation.
Due to the way gas is burned to produce a nice looking flame, a gas fireplace will build up carbon on the pilot light and inside of the glass much quicker than other gas burning equipment. To ensure peak efficiency of your unit and to keep it burning beautifully, it is recommended to have your gas fireplace serviced every 1-2 years.
Water Treatment Maintenance
Equipment such as water heating and purification systems, Air Exchangers and Air Purifiers should be serviced if you notice any change in the operation of the unit that seems unusual.
